Impact report 2011
At Action for
Children, it's important we make an impact. It's
how we give the most vulnerable and neglected children the support
they need to overcome their current difficulties,
and equip them to deal with any issues they might face in the
future.
Both Impact in action 2011 and our full impact report
for 2011 prove we can do this. Most importantly, they also
demonstrate that we really are there for as long as it takes.
You'll find out about the impact we have in terms of early
intervention, intensive family support and cost-effectiveness.
That's as well as how we work to keep children and young people
safe and healthy, while improving their relationships and
achievements in life.
Here's just some of the impact we've had in 2010-11:
- research by the University of Salford confirms we're
successful in reducing concerns about neglect
- in 98% of the cases we assessed, the quality
of family life either improved or stayed the same
- 90% of parents improved their parenting skills
after using one of our intensive family support services

in action 2011.
