Where is child poverty most common in the UK?

As part of the End Child Poverty coalition, we recently published local child poverty figures. The data, which covers the five years from 2014/15 to 2019/20, shows the scale of the problem before going into the pandemic.

Use the map below to see the scale of child poverty in your area and across the UK.

We need a bold plan to tackle child poverty

Every day we see the impact of poverty. Families - most of whom have at least one working parent - can't afford to pay household bills or put food on the table. It just simply isn’t possible for Boris Johnson to ‘level up’ the country when children grow up in these situations.

We need the Government to put a protective arm around this generation of children and deliver a plan to end child poverty. They will only do this if they are under pressure from Members of Parliament, that’s where you come in.
